Boyd S Lemon

Mr. Lemon has been retained as an expert witness and consultant in over 800 legal malpractice and attorney fee dispute cases during the past 20 years. Many of these cases have also involved legal ethical issues.  He has testified on behalf of both attorneys and their former clients in California and various other states. The cases on which the legal malpractice or the attorney's fees were based have included business and real estate litigation and transactions, bankruptcy matters, personal injury cases, family law matters, estates and a wide variety of other matters. These cases frequently involve ethics violations.

Mr. Lemon has been a trial attorney for 42 years, trying a wide variety of cases, particularly cases involving real estate and business matters. He has been honored as one of America's leading lawyers and named by Los Angeles Magazine as a "Southern California SuperLawyer".

He has been chairman of the litigation departments of three law firms in Los Angeles, one of them employing over 125 attorneys. He has also been a member of the executive committees of two law firms and the managing partner of one of them.

Mr. Lemon is a co-founder and former Director of the Lawyers Professional Liability Bar Association, an organization dedicated to educating attorneys concerning legal malpractice issues. He is an arbitrator on the California State Bar and Los Angeles County Bar attorney fee dispute arbitration panels, and a former arbitrator and mediator for the Los Angeles Superior Court. He is a former member of the California State Bar Disciplinary Committee.

Mr. Lemon has authored numerous articles and publications in the field of legal malpractice and ethics and has also lectured frequently on those subjects.
